Introduction
The DDC standard computer configuration is designed to support you either in the office or remotely. Whether at the office or working remotely, you log into your computer using your DDC username and password. If you have an Internet connection, you will have access to DDC's standard applications, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint, Slack, Jamis and WebEx. If you are working remotely, be sure to connect to the Internet before you attempt to use the DDC standard applications. Also, be aware that you may have to log on again when you connect to each of the standard applications.
Access to some specialized DDC applications and special network folders requires a connection to the DDC network. Again, if you are directly connected to the DDC network in one of the DDC office locations, this will not be a problem. However, if you are working remotely and are connected only to the Internet, you will need to connect to the DDC network via Virtual Private Networking (VPN) to gain this access.
