To utilize Teams Phone service, your physical location is needed for Emergency Services in the event 911 is called from the Teams phone.
Locations in Teams Client
- In the Teams client, select Calls along the left menu
- Below the dial pad, select the location field to edit, add, confirm, or reset your emergency location
- In the Teams Settings menu, select Calls and scroll down to Emergency location and locations can be edited
Locations in Teams Mobile
- Teams will prompt you to allow location sharing the first time you open the app on your mobile device.
- To turn location sharing on or off after Teams has already been installed, go to Teams Settings on your device and Allow location access.
- Your native mobile settings may open and prompt for confirmation of access to location services.
Note: Without location services, you won't be able to confirm your emergency location in Teams. Every emergency location you've confirmed is saved and doesn't need to be reconfirmed when returning. When you move to a new physical location, the Teams emergency location will change to reflect what location services detects.
