The Online Archive mailbox is used to store important emails, long-term, especially as your mailbox starts to reach capacity. This allows you to keep important emails without them counting against the total storage in your mailbox.
You can find the Online Archive as an additional mailbox at the bottom of the mailbox list pane both on the Outlook client as well as Outlook on the Web through a browser. It will be labeled:
“Online Archive – first.lastname” or "In-Place Archive - first.lastname."
To add items to the online archive, simply drag and drop the emails you wish to conserve into the mailbox, just as you would any other Outlook mailbox or folder.
Entire folders can be moved into the Online Archive as well by right clicking and selecting Move and then finding and selecting the Online Archive section.
*Please note that the first time you access the Online Archive it may be slow to open as it finalizes the setup.
Now, you don’t have to deal with those funky .pst files that can be a pain to manage and use. Start using your Online Archive today!
