The DDC IT Team has enforced Multi-Factor Authentication when trying to access certain resources (such as SharePoint and JAMIS) and resetting your password. If not registered yet, a "Keep your account secure" message will pop up on the screen for setup. Once setup, you will have to authenticate to access the protected resources.

Setting Up MFA with QR code
- Install the Microsoft Authenticator application on your mobile device via Google Play (Android/Google phones) or App Store (iOS/iPhone)
- The "Keep your account secure" screen will be on your computer screen, in the browser. Click "Next" after installing Microsoft Authenticator first
You will have the option to:
- Scan the image
- Enter the Code and URL manually (Click on "Can't scan image?") on the Microsoft Authenticator app
Scanning the QR Code in the Authenticator App
- Once you have installed the Authenticator Application on your mobile device, tap on "+"
- Tap on "Work or school account"
- Tap "Scan QR Code", hold your device up to the screen
- Enter your work/appropriate subsidiary email in the Sign in "Email or phone" field, then tap "Next"
- Enter your work/appropriate subsidiary email password in the "Password" field, then tap "Sign in"
- Verify your identity via "Text" or "Call"
Note: If you opt for a Text, the code will be sent to your Text/iMessage app. If you opt for a Call, an auto attendant will read you the 6 digit code. Listen closely or you will have to, have the auto attendant call you again with a new code
- Enter the code that was given to you through Text or Call, then tap "Verify"
- Once you have entered the code, an "Approve sign-in?" message will appear, tap "Approve". You will then see that your account has been added to the list
Setting up Microsoft Authenticator app Manually
If you are unable to scan the QR code, you can manually enter the Code and URL on the Microsoft Authenticator application.
- Click on "Can't scan image?", a Code and URL Will pop up at the bottom of the box
- On the authenticator app tap on "Scan QR code", then tap "Or enter code manually"
- An "Add account" screen will come next. Under "WORK OR SCHOOL ACCOUNT", enter the "Code" and "URL" in the appropriate fields, click "Finish"
- Once you have entered the code, an "Approve sign-in?" message will appear, tap "Approve". You will see that your account has been added to the list
